COELAN Retardation Agent
Intended Product Use:
In tropical climates or other areas where ambient humidity approaches or exceeds 85% and / or temperatures approach or exceed 86F the addition of an appropriate amount of COELAN Retardation Agent to the COELAN Transparent Gloss product will slow the coating curing process and allow for better overall application and results. Also to be considered is the substrate surface temperature which can often exceed 120F.
Consumption:
Maximum of 30 ml. of Retardation Agent per 1 Liter of COELAN Coating, or 1.7 oz. per 33.8 fl. oz.
Start with the smallest ratio of Retardation Agent to Coating that will
produce the desired results. Experiment on a test piece of similar
subsrate. Do not exceed a 3% ratio of Retardation Agent to
Coating.Figures shown are approximate and greatly dependent on surface
porosity and ambient air temperature and humidity and working surface
temperature.
