COELAN THINNER 1 Liter Intended Product Use:
Careful mixing of COELAN Thinner with COELAN Transparent Gloss or COELAN Matte (Silk) Finish coating products is sometimes required. Conditions related to ambient temperature, humidity and project surface temperatures as well as surface material, porosity, irregular or uneven finish and material orientation (horizontal or vertical) are all factors in the use of the thinner product. COELAN Coating application on vertical surfaces will benefit from the addition of COELAN Thinner to preventing sagging or running. Spray applications may also benefit from slight thinning of the COELAN coating products. Warning: Unnecessary or excessive thinning (exceeding 30%) is contrary to manufacturers guidelines and will result in noticeable out gassing (bubbles) of the thinner and resultant coating applications of insufficient thickness, undesirable appearance and decreased longevity.

Full strength COELAN Thinner can be used to help clean up application tools and brushes. It is not necessary to use COELAN Thinner to wipe down any surfaces prior to application of COELAN Coatings.

Consumption:
Dependent on project requirements. Under no circumstances should COELAN Thinner exceed a 30% ratio when combined with COELAN coating. Always start with the least amount of thinner the will produce a smooth application and finished coating layer. Use a clean graduated mixing pail or calibrated industrial syringe to ensure proper mixing ratios.Figures shown are approximate and dependent on surface porosity, orientation and ambient air temperature and humidity.

Recommended Start Point (10%):
100 ml. thinner to 1 Liter coating.
3.4 fluid ounces thinner to 33.8 fluid ounces coating.

75 ml. thinner to 750 ml. coating.
2.5 fluid ounces thinner to 25.3 fluid ounces coating.

Absolute Maximum (30%):
300 ml. thinner to 1 Liter coating.
10 fluid ounces thinner to 33.8 fluid ounces coating.

225 ml. thinner to 750 ml. coating.
7.5 fluid ounces thinner to 25.4 fluid ounces coating.
